(VB.NET) Move File to Another Directory on Server
Moves a file from one directory to another. This is accomplished by renaming the file using a filepath that includes the directory.
' This example requires the Chilkat API to have been previously unlocked.
' See Global Unlock Sample for sample code.
Dim ftp As New Chilkat.Ftp2
ftp.Hostname = "ftp.example.com"
ftp.Username = "login"
ftp.Password = "password"
' Connect and login to the FTP server.
Dim success As Boolean = ftp.Connect()
If (success <> True) Then
Debug.WriteLine(ftp.LastErrorText)
Exit Sub
End If
' Rename the remote file (or directory)
Dim existingFilepath As String = "dirA/hello.txt"
Dim newFilepath As String = "dirB/hello.txt"
success = ftp.RenameRemoteFile(existingFilepath,newFilepath)
If (success <> True) Then
Debug.WriteLine(ftp.LastErrorText)
Exit Sub
End If
success = ftp.Disconnect()
