(VB.NET) Delete Files Matching Pattern
The DeleteMatching method deletes all files in the current remote directory matching a wildcarded filename.
' This example requires the Chilkat API to have been previously unlocked.
' See Global Unlock Sample for sample code.
Dim ftp As New Chilkat.Ftp2
ftp.Hostname = "www.chilkatsoft.com"
ftp.Username = "MyLogin"
ftp.Password = "MyPassword"
' Connect and login to the FTP server.
Dim success As Boolean = ftp.Connect()
If (success <> True) Then
Debug.WriteLine(ftp.LastErrorText)
Exit Sub
End If
' Change to the remote directory where the files to be deleted are located.
' for the FTP account.
success = ftp.ChangeRemoteDir("junk")
If (success <> True) Then
Debug.WriteLine(ftp.LastErrorText)
Exit Sub
End If
' Delete all files with filenames matching "ftp_*.asp"
Dim numDeleted As Integer = ftp.DeleteMatching("ftp_*.asp")
If (numDeleted < 0) Then
Debug.WriteLine(ftp.LastErrorText)
Exit Sub
End If
success = ftp.Disconnect()
Debug.WriteLine(numDeleted & " Files Deleted!")
