(Swift) Backblaze S3 Download String
Demonstrates how to download a textual object into a string variable.
The Chilkat S3 functions in the HTTP class are compatible with the Backblaze service. However, because of some specific issues, Chilkat v9.5.0.89 or later is needed.
func chilkatTest() {
// This example assumes the Chilkat API to have been previously unlocked.
// See Global Unlock Sample for sample code.
let http = CkoHttp()!
// keyID = Access Key ID or Access Key
http.awsAccessKey = "access-key"
// applicationKey = Secret Access Key or Secret Key
http.awsSecretKey = "secret-key"
// Region is the 2nd part of your S3 Endpoint
http.awsEndpoint = "s3.us-west-002.backblazeb2.com"
var bucketName: String? = "chilkat-test"
var objectName: String? = "orchard.json"
// This is the byte representation of the text file downloaded from Backblaze.
// It must be specified to allow Chilkat to correctly interpret the bytes as characters.
var charset: String? = "utf-8"
var fileContents: String? = http.s3_DownloadString(bucketName, objectName: objectName, charset: charset)
if http.lastMethodSuccess != true {
print("\(http.lastErrorText!)")
}
else {
print("\(fileContents!)")
print("Success.")
}
}
