(CkPython) Quoted-Printable Encode/Decode a String
CkPython example to quoted-printable encode and decode a string.
import chilkat
# This example requires the Chilkat API to have been previously unlocked.
# See Global Unlock Sample for sample code.
crypt = chilkat.CkCrypt2()
# Here's a string in Icelandic using non us-ascii chars:
s = "Ég get etið gler án þess að meiða mig."
crypt.put_CryptAlgorithm("none")
crypt.put_EncodingMode("quoted-printable")
# Quoted-printable encode/decode the iso-8859-1
# representation of the string. Notice how each
# Icelandic char is represented by 1 byte:
crypt.put_Charset("iso-8859-1")
qp = crypt.encryptStringENC(s)
print("iso-8859-1:")
print(qp)
decoded = crypt.decryptStringENC(qp)
print(decoded)
# Now do the same using utf-8. Notice how each
# Icelandic char is represented by 2 bytes in utf-8:
crypt.put_Charset("utf-8")
qp = crypt.encryptStringENC(s)
print("utf-8:")
print(qp)
decoded = crypt.decryptStringENC(qp)
print(decoded)
