(PowerShell) Determine File Type
Demonstrates how to determine the type of file. Possible types are:
- 1: Regular file
- 2: Directory
- 3: Symbolic Link
- 4: Windows shortcut
- 99: Something else
- 0: File not found
- -1: Unable to check because of directory permissions or other error.
Note: This example requires Chilkat v9.5.0.77 or greater.
Add-Type -Path "C:\chilkat\ChilkatDotNet47-9.5.0-x64\ChilkatDotNet47.dll"
# Call the FileType method to determine the file type.
# (Note: FileType is a method, not a property.)
