(Perl) Backblaze S3 Download String
Demonstrates how to download a textual object into a string variable.
The Chilkat S3 functions in the HTTP class are compatible with the Backblaze service. However, because of some specific issues, Chilkat v9.5.0.89 or later is needed.
use chilkat();
# This example assumes the Chilkat API to have been previously unlocked.
# See Global Unlock Sample for sample code.
$http = chilkat::CkHttp->new();
# keyID = Access Key ID or Access Key
$http->put_AwsAccessKey("access-key");
# applicationKey = Secret Access Key or Secret Key
$http->put_AwsSecretKey("secret-key");
# Region is the 2nd part of your S3 Endpoint
$http->put_AwsEndpoint("s3.us-west-002.backblazeb2.com");
$bucketName = "chilkat-test";
$objectName = "orchard.json";
# This is the byte representation of the text file downloaded from Backblaze.
# It must be specified to allow Chilkat to correctly interpret the bytes as characters.
$charset = "utf-8";
$fileContents = $http->s3_DownloadString($bucketName,$objectName,$charset);
if ($http->get_LastMethodSuccess() != 1) {
print $http->lastErrorText() . "\r\n";
}
else {
print $fileContents . "\r\n";
print "Success." . "\r\n";
}
