(Android™) SCP Upload to a Specific Remote DirectoryDemonstrates how to upload a file using the SCP protocol (Secure Copy Protocol over SSH). The file is uploaded to a specific remote directory. It can be either a path relative to the HOME directory of the SSH user account, or an absolute path on the remote filesystem. Obviously, in both cases the SSH user account must have permission to create or overwrite a file in the specified directory.
// Important: Don't forget to include the call to System.loadLibrary // as shown at the bottom of this code sample. package com.test; import android.app.Activity; import com.chilkatsoft.*; import android.widget.TextView; import android.os.Bundle; public class SimpleActivity extends Activity { private static final String TAG = "Chilkat"; // Called when the activity is first created. @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); // This example requires the Chilkat API to have been previously unlocked. // See Global Unlock Sample for sample code. CkSsh ssh = new CkSsh(); // Connect to an SSH server: String hostname; int port; // Hostname may be an IP address or hostname: hostname = "www.some-ssh-server.com"; port = 22; boolean success = ssh.Connect(hostname, port); if (success != true) { Log.i(TAG, ssh.lastErrorText()); return; } // Wait a max of 5 seconds when reading responses.. ssh.put_IdleTimeoutMs(5000); // Authenticate using login/password: success = ssh.AuthenticatePw("myLogin","myPassword"); if (success != true) { Log.i(TAG, ssh.lastErrorText()); return; } // Once the SSH object is connected and authenticated, we use it // as the underlying transport in our SCP object. For example, if the HOME directory is /home/chilkat, // then this uploads to /home/chilkat/uploads/text/test.txt // Note: The remote target directory must already exist on the SSH server.
